Billie: Affordably Clean
To be honest I started to see Billie pop up a couple of years ago when they launched their razor. I loved the branding, but never looked too much into it. What caught my eye this time around was the launch of their Wonder Wipes. They are EWG Verified and only $9! Makeup remover wipes are one item that I have struggled to find a good replacement for that is also affordable. I have scoured the shelves multiple times at Target and cannot find any that I approve of safety wise. Many include ingredients like parabens, synthetic fragrance and PEGs. Then I started looking more into what Billie stands for and placed an order immediately!
The Gist:
Billie started because women were paying too much money for razors.
Have you heard of the “The Pink Tax”? According to Billie it is “the extra amount women are paying for certain products (think razors, tampons etc.) or services…” They wanted to do away with The Pink Tax while also creating an aspirational razor that works.
Since then they have grown to offer shaving cream, body lotion, dry shampoo, makeup remover wipes and even lip balm!
The Floof Dry Shampoo, Wonder Wipes and Sudsy Body Wash are EWG Verified and everything else rates a 1 or 2 in the EWG Skin Deep Database (Sugar Salve Lip Balm, Shave Cream and Dry-Bye Lotion .)
They have a long list of ingredients they will never use including: sulfates, parabens, formaldahydes, GMOs, synthetic dyes, fragrances, cheap foaming agents, unstable silicones and BHT.
Personally I love The Razor Starter Set and Wonder Wipes. The Razor offers the smoothest shave I have had in a long time with a super handy magnetic holder that sticks right on your shower wall.

Update 4/21/20: I emailed Bilie to get the ingredient list for the razor stripe and remembered why it had taken me a minute to order from them. The ingredients are:
Charcoal Powder
Aloe Vera Leaf Juice
Shea Butter
Cyclodextrin
Polyethylene Glycol
Maltodextrin
Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
I normally stay away from products with Polyethylene Glycol because this ingredients is commonly is contaminated with carcinogens like 1,4 dioxane. I am choosing to stick with it for now and hunt for one that performs the same and is safer. I love the way this razor shaves and currently I need any incentive I can get to shave my legs more. The good news is that this product is free from parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrance and so many more toxins. This is better than most and also provides a lovely experience. You do you when it comes to ingredients.
