What is a B Corp?
I can’t believe I am just no talking about this! Have you ever seen this symbol and wondered what it meant?
Here are a few factoids to know about Certified B Corps:
The B stands for Benefit.
These companies have a triple bottom line of people, planet and profit.
They mix the goals of purpose and profit putting first the wellbeing of the environment, workers, customers, suppliers and community.
There are about 3500 certified B corps.
They go through strenuous evaluation every three years to maintain their B corp status.
When I see this little symbol on a product I know that my purchase has a much larger purpose than a monetary exchange. These companies are doing their best to better our world one product at a time. Talk about #doitbetterbrands !
