Disinfecting vs. Cleaning
Cleaning removes dirt, dust, crumbs and germs from a surface or object. This is usually with soap, water or something like an all purpose solution. Germs are not killed but are removed by wiping them away. Disinfecting uses chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. Usually it is best to let the solution sit on surfaces in order to kill the germs before wiping.
We need the disinfecting products to assist in killing germs, an idea we have all become accustomed to over the past two years. Some areas are kids’ toys, bathrooms, near changing tables or anywhere poop might land, countertops, floors etc.
Common disinfectants include bleach, fragrances, dyes, and other harmful chemicals. I am so passionate about getting safer cleaning products because they cover many different surfaces, especially when there are kids in the home. Another reason for a safer spray is that the particles are so small they can easily be ingested and affect indoor air quality. This is a switch to safer that will benefit everyone in the household!
